Former home missionaries in Louisiana, Eddie and Bev Tilley received their missionary appointment to Norway in October 1977. They arrived on the field with their six-year-old daughter in the summer of 1978, settling in Bergen on the west coast to study Norwegian. (Shane Tilley was born in Norway in 1984.) They later established a church and Bible school in Olso, the capital. In 1995 the Foreign Missions Board appointed Brother Tilley the area coordinator for all Scandinavia: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland. He is also responsible for outreach to Bulgaria The Tilley family lives near Oslo, Norway, where brother Tilley pastors an international church and runs the Bible school program for Scandinavia. In his capacity as the director for the UPC of Scandinavia, he travels throughout Scandinavia, preaching the gospel and encouraging the believers.
